Marzuq is a freshman in his second year at AMSA. He has taken a particular interest in politics over the past few years. In hopes of furthering his understanding of politics, Marzuq will write for The AMSA Voice.

He resides in Shrewsbury, but lived in Cincinnati, Ohio for the first 10 years of his life. He is a diehard Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Cavaliers fan. He plays soccer at the club level and enjoys the teamwork and quick thinking that soccer promotes. He was also a part of the AMSA middle school basketball team last year and hopes to make the junior varsity basketball team this year.

Aside from sports, Marzuq participates in a variety of clubs and activities. He joined the speech and debate team this year and enjoys giving speeches that are inspiring and thought-provoking. He is the president of the “Operation Smile” club, an international medical charity that provides free cleft surgeries for children in Third World countries. He also regularly participates in the Worcester Regional Science Fair and the Massachusetts State Science Fair.
