MARLBOROUGH – Despite 13 points from senior Lauren Hailey, AMSA’s varsity girls basketball team dropped a 34-26 decision to Blackstone Valley Tech on Tuesday.

Blackstone jumped out to an early lead and led by as much as 24-12 in the second quarter. The Beavers used an aggressive style to consistently draw fouls and keep AMSA on the defensive.

In the end, despite a brief run in the fourth quarter, Blackstone was just too much for the Eagles, showing why it is undefeated.

The Beavers improved to 10-0, while AMSA fell to 6-2. The Eagles next host Bay Path at 6 p.m. Friday.
