Mykalah Jacob, Co-editor

Mykalah Jacob is a senior who resides in the beautiful town of Grafton. She has three

younger siblings who drive her crazy, but who are her absolute favorite people in the world.

Mykalah is Vice President of AMSA’s National Honor Society (NHS) chapter and hopes

that when she graduates, she will have made a difference in NHS and the school community at

large.

The surest way to find Mykalah is to listen for the sound of music. She loves singing at every

moment of the day and is honored to be a first soprano in HaZamir, the international Hebrew

high school choir. She also loves singing solos in AMSA’s A Capella group, which she knows is

the finest group on campus.

When Mykalah is not singing, she can most likely be found in the literary world, reading to her

heart’s content. She has attended the Great Books Summer Program for the past four summers at

Amherst College and Oxford University, where she has made friends with voracious readers and

been taught by professors from all over the world.

Mykalah’s younger sister has Down syndrome, which has led Mykalah to become extremely

passionate about Down syndrome awareness. If one is looking for a conversation starter, Down

syndrome is a topic Mykalah can never speak enough about.

Mykalah lives each day with the philosophy that “everything happens for a reason.” Her pastimes

include quoting movies, watching book reviews on YouTube, cooking dinner for her family, and

making To-Do lists.
