NORTH BROOKFIELD–AMSA’s baseball team climbed back to .500 with a 19-5 victory at North Brookfield on Thursday.

James Allen was very effective on the mound, recording nine strikeouts in five innings. Billy Helenius led the offense with three hits (including a triple) and two RBI. Rikvan Jhamb doubled twice and knocked in three runs.

The Eagles (4-4) scored only one run in the first three innings before opening it up.

“The boys had to adjust from an 85 mph fastball [in a game] the day before to a low-60s fastball today,” coach Mike Lubawski said.
