The AMSA Voice

Maggie Barjolo, Staff writer

Maggie Barjolo is a senior and has been attending AMSA since the 6th grade. Being part of the oldest class at AMSA, she wanted to leave her “footprint” and lift up her voice. She found that a great way to do that was through The AMSA Voice.

Over the years Maggie has been an active AMSA participant. She has run both track and field and cross country and has sung in the AMSA choir. She has set the school record and qualified for the state meet in both the 100-meter dash and the 4x100 relay.

Maggie has many hopes and dreams and because of this she doesn’t really know what she wants to do in the years to come. Just because she doesn’t know doesn’t mean she doesn’t have an idea. At a very young age she fell in love with medicine and since then her mother made it her duty to make her childhood dream of becoming a physician a reality.

She also loves the fashion industry and everything fashion, and she now has an interest in fashion journalism
and/or becoming a stylist.

She hopes that by her joining The AMSA Voice it will help her perfect her craft and make her love for writing and journalism even stronger.
