The AMSA Voice

Robert Williams

Robert Williams, Staff writer

Robert Williams, a member of the class of 2017, is a new addition to the staff of The AMSA Voice. His
academic areas of preference are biology and English language/literary arts. He grew up in a
conventional family environment, and lives with his two supportive parents (and his awesome brother).
Robert’s career interests lie in the general area of marine biology and preservation, although he is also
interested in psychology and social sciences.

He has attended AMSA since the 6th grade, and attended several schools such as The British School of
Boston before he arrived at AMSA. Robert has been infatuated with Japanese culture (both traditional
and pop) since he was in elementary school, but fell deeper in love with the country after becoming acquainted with the Showa Academy of Greater Boston. He now intends to spend many years of his life in
Japan after college, if not live there.

Robert is currently employed as a lifeguard and swim instructor at an athletics facility in
Westwood. He teaches children aged four months to 12 years how to swim and progress
into competitive swimming. He hopes that he can become an assistant swim coach at the facility in his
senior year. His hobbies include, but are not limited to, gaming (playing video games), biking, swimming,
and being a geek with his friends.
