AMSA closes in on playoffs

AMSA’s boys varsity basketball team overcame a five-point halftime deficit and capitalized on the perimeter shooting of Rikvan Jhamb to defeat South Lancaster 65-60 on Tuesday. The victory moves the Eagles to 9-8 overall, and one more win will qualify them for the postseason.

Eighteen of Rikvan’s 19 points came via 3-point shots, the last of which put AMSA ahead 63-60 with a minute remaining.

Jayden Dummett also scored 19 points for the Eagles, while Zach Meyers contributed 17 points.
