MARLBOROUGH—AMSA’s middle school boys basketball team held Bethany Christian scoreless in the fourth quarter Thursday, as the Eagles cruised to a 47-16 victory at Fore Kicks.

AMSA went on a 20-0 run in the final eight minutes. Collin Craig, who finished with 9 points, sparked the Eagles (6-2) with a 3-point shot, making it 32-16 early in the final period.

Avi Shah and Austin McNamara both added 9 points for AMSA, which forced 18 turnovers. Eagles coach Chris Marsh decided to start a group of younger players to give them experience and they rebounded to overcome 14 turnovers of their own.

“We played hard,” Mr. Marsh said. “We’ve been working hard in practice and it paid off for us.”
